| On August 10, 2009 Pam & Charlie Jennette along with Don Leonard & Ginny Gilham departed NSSC for Lake Michigan on what was to become a 1000 mile trip to Traverse City Michigan. During the next 28 days they visited many old favorites from previous trips and explored new places along the way. A side trip into Lake Charlevoix to Boyn City enable them to see old North Star members Denny and Kathy Rose who had taken some time off from their cruising to Florida and the Bahamas. Reaching Traverse City enabled them to see some onld sailing friends before turning back north to Beaver Island and through the Straits of Mackinac, heading home to NSSC. Coupled with an early cruise to Lake Erie, Don & Ginny cruised for 1250 miles during 2009. The 2011 Cruising Meeting will be on Sun 4/3. |

the NSSC cruisers. Events are scheduled from May to October and
usually include sailing to a destination for an overnite, lots of
good food, and fun! Flags are awarded for participation and cruising
on one?s own boat. A $7 per cruise registration fee is charged to offset costs of awards, flags, and miscellaneous expenses.
