Memorial Day 2002 Commemoration Ceremony and Fleet
Review
Monday, May 27th 2002 was a beautiful day for the annual Memorial
Day Brunch , Commemoration Service and Fleet Review ceremonies.
After a cool and rainy start, the holiday weekend finished up with
clear skies and temperatures in the low 70's - the type of weather
that Michiganders wait out the winter for.
The Memorial Service was led by Rear Commodore Jeff Henderson
who began the service with the Mariner's 23rd Psalm and then introduced
PC Dick Amsden (1984) who read the roll of deceased members and
officers. Taps was then played and the ceremony adjourned.

After the Memorial Service, members prepared for or awaited the
fleet review, which began at 1pm.
