Howard Boston Memorial Race & Leukemia Cup 2008

North Star Sail Club will be hosting the Howard Boston Memorial and Leukemia Cup Race, the traditional start of the Anchor Bay Fall Series .  This will be our Third Annual Leukemia Cup fundraiser; spurred by the loss of both Charles (Skip) Boston and former Race Chairman Barry Saad to this blood disease.  We are setting a 2008 goal of $50,000 (we raised nearly $30,000 in 2006 and $43,500 in 2007).

Location: North Star Sail Club, 32041 South River Road, Harrison Twp., MI 48045

Sailing Area: Northern end of Lake St. Clair, Michigan - Anchor Bay

Eligibility: This regatta is open to all sailboats. This race is also the first race of our Fall Series Racing on Anchor Bay. If you wish to race and collect money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (news letter web site) you must register and pay a $100 donation; this donation will entitle you to a Leukemia Cup race T-Shirt.  Click here to download a donation registration form. If the form and your $100.00 donation are returned by 9/10/08, your boat name will be on the official Leukemia Cup T-shirt. To Race in the Leukemia Cup race there is a $15 race fee.

To race in the Fall Series You must Also fill out a Notice Of Race*(*sample from 2007) The 2008 form will be posted later this summer. The fee for the Fall Series is $75.00.
